CODE, IIT Madras offers a 6-month certification course on eMobility and Electric Vehicle Engineering

Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE), IIT Madras had launched an industry-oriented short-term Certificate Program on eMobility and Electric Vehicle Engineering for Working Professionals in October 2022. This Certificate Program provides an overview of the entire eMobility EcoSystem as well as basic fundamentals in Technical Areas such as Vehicle Development, Power Electronics, Battery Engineering, Thermal Management, Power Trains, EMI/ EMC, etc. 

Cohort 1 saw a good response from Industry and is currently ongoing. Registrations for Cohort 2 are open now.

Module-1:Economics and Ecosystem in eMobility
Module-2:Vehicle Engineering and Development
Module-3:Vehicle Dynamics and Control
Module-4:Powertrain and Fuels
Module-5:Power Electronics and Motors
Module-6:Battery Technology
Module-7: Materials for eMobility
Module-8:Thermal Management for Electric Vehicles
Module-9:Electromagnetic Compatibility for Electric Vehicles

Course Mode: ONLINE (Recorded videos and live sessions)120 hours of recorded online instruction and 40 hours of online live interaction with the experts.

The course is structured in the following manner:

1. Participants need to watch around 6 hours of video content (not more than 3 hours in a particular module) every week. They will be supported by well-trained TAs.
2. An online live interaction session would be scheduled every Saturday with the corresponding faculty to discuss the module content and clarify queries. The duration of this session would be 1 hour.
