- Sports and Extracurricular Scholarship is to encourage and motivate the Sports and other Extracurricular activities by the students at the Inter-IITM and Intra-IITM levels. The selection is made by the Dean of students and committee members. The final list of recipients will be shared with the office of Alumni and Corporate Relations.

Venkitaramanan Scholarship (i) Three scholarships each to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year B.Tech. and Dual Degree students based on participation in sports, extracurricular, and co-curricular activities at the inter-hostel level or at the inter-IIT level.
(ii) Totally 9 students will be selected every year
(iii) Parental Annual income should be below 8 Lakhs per annum
(iv) The applicant should not have been awarded any punishment on disciplinary grounds.One time scholarship of Rs. 1 Lakhs for all the students 2 Shankar Family Scholarship (i) Three scholarships each to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year B.Tech. and Dual Degree students based on participation in sports, extracurricular, and co-curricular activities at the inter-hostel level or at the inter-IIT level.
(ii) Totally 9 students will be selected every year
(iii) Parental Annual income should be below 8 Lakhs per annum
(iv) The applicant should not have been awarded any punishment on disciplinary grounds.One time scholarship of Rs. 1 Lakhs for all the students. 3 Crawford Edwards Scholarship for Humanitarian Leaders of Tomorrow (i) Student of 3rd and 4th years B.Tech (any department) who has shown humanitarian activity after joining IITM Campus.
(ii) Annual Parental Income should be above 8 lakhs and below 15 lakhsOne Scholarship of Rs. 70,000/- per annum. 4 Kalidas Madhavpeddi Scholarship (i) This scholarship is awarded to the following third year Dual Degree student in Civil Engineering with best performance at the end of the 2nd year and demonstrated leadership, team work and social service on campus and off campus One scholarship of Rs. 53,000/- per annum.
