OnePlus, the global tech brand, has unveiled the OnePlus ‘Never Settle’ Scholarship programme in partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), according to an official release.
The scholarship programme is set to grant full financial scholarships to multiple students enrolled in the undergraduate (B.Tech) programme at IIT Madras, the release mentioned.
“The support and enthusiasm we received from our community during our first official community meet in India were instrumental in our decision to launch in the country. Since then, our decade-long journey in the region has been truly remarkable. Our collaboration with IIT Madras holds immense significance as we embark on this meaningful venture together with our community,” Pete Lau, founder, OnePlus, said.
IIT Madras claims to assess students based on the merit-cum-means eligibility criteria, overseeing the scholarship review process. The Never Settle Scholarship programme is dedicated to alleviating the financial burden of education by offering substantial scholarships to deserving students based on the aforementioned criteria, as per the release.
