Chennai: Digital healthcare platform MediBuddy has contributed Rs 14 crore to Indian Institute of Technology Madras’ (IIT-M) Incubation Cell. Set up in 2013, IIT-M IC is a deep tech incubator and MediBuddy co-founders -Satish Kannan and Enbasekar- are IIT-M alumni who were among the first incubatee at the incubation cell. Having launched in 2013, MediBuddy is now a full stack player in the digital healthcare industry and recently raised $125 million in series C funding. It helps its users consult specialist doctors, order medicines and book lab tests from the comfort of their homes. IIT-M IC has housed and mentored over 250 startups with an aim to create an environment for budding entrepreneurs. It also provides support to survive in a competitive market. TNN
