Center for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE) of IITM coordinates all non-campus academic & outreach activities from IIT Madras. Through various non-campus programs, IITM CODE facilitates the continuing education initiatives of the Institute.
CODE IITM has been running the Certificate Program on eMobility (CPoeM) since 2022 and there are close to 315+ learners in the last 4 cohorts which includes industry professionals from Renault Nissan, Caterpillar, Mahindra, John Deere, Royal Enfield, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motors, TCS, Tata Elxsi and many others.
As a follow-on program based on industry demand, CODE IITM has launched a 3-month deep diving course in Battery Cell Technology
About the course:
This course gives a comprehensive view of materials, characterisation, and how it is applied to battery and battery integration with vehicles. This would be useful for engineers who are working on the battery characterisation and maintenance side of the auto industry and grid energy storage sector. Besides, it would help researchers to understand the underlying principle and chemistry of battery materials enabling them to venture into new and advanced battery materials development.

Course comprises 36 hours of recorded videos and 12 hours of online live interactive sessions with the faculty.
