Vinod Aachi, Global Head, Regional Markets, joined Standard Chartered Bank in September 2008. Aachi provides leadership and direction for regional, country and product heads to execute Standard Chartered Bank’s overall WB strategy. He is responsible for sustaining client focus across footprint and ensuring implementation and supervision of the governance framework. He also drives the product and client structuring business and development while sustaining the long term growth of the global business. Aachi is a huge advocate for mentoring individuals as he spearheads the FM junior talent sourcing. Aachi is also a member of Corporate Finance Management Group (CFMG) and Financial Markets Management Group (FMMG).

Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank, Aachi spent 11 years at Deutsche Bank. He joined the Global Relative Value Group in 1997, and led the Asia division from 2002. His team’s responsibilities were idea generation, pricing, regulatory clearance and desk coordination for all derivative products.

Previous to Deutsche Bank, Aachi was a NDF swaps trader at JPMorgan in Singapore, a fixed income research analyst with ICICI Securities in Mumbai and a systems executive for TATA-IBM in Mumbai.

Aachi has an Engineering degree from IIT, Madras (1991) and a Management degree from IIM, Calcutta (1993).

Aachi is married with two children and is based in Singapore
