Students of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, have received 182 pre-placement offers, despite the impact of COVID-19. In 2019, the number was 170. The phase I of campus placements is scheduled to commence on December 1.

One of the reasons behind the increase in PPOs is the strong internship programme of the institute.

The constant increase in PPOs is the result of excellent performance of students during the internships, the institute said in a release.
