For the third time in a month in India, less than 30,000 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in a single day and with this the cases of Covid-19 in the country went up to 98.84 lakh on Monday, out of which more than 93.88 percent infected have recovered.
According to the data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am, the number of infection cases in the country increased to 98,84,100 after 27,071 new cases of Covid-19 were revealed. At the same time, after the death of 336 more people, the number of dead increased to 1,43,355.
According to the data, after the release of 93,88,159 people in the country, the recovery rate of patients increased to 94.98 percent. The death rate from Covid-19 is 1.45 percent. The number of people under treatment in the country for eight consecutive days is less than four lakhs. A total of 3,52,586 people are currently undergoing treatment for corona virus, which is 3.57 percent of the total cases.
In India, the number of infected people had crossed 20 lakh on 7 August, 30 lakh on 23 August and 40 lakh on 5 September. At the same time, the total cases crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November.
66 students living in IIT Madras hostel become corona infected
The hostel of IIT Madras is functioning at a limited capacity with only 10 percent students. As soon as some of the students staying in the hostel gave information about the symptoms of corona, the institute arranged for the students to stay in the hostel for the Covid test.
