8 more people have tested positive in IIT Madras. Now the total count of COVID cases in the campus have reached to 191. Intensive testing is going on in the campus in this regard. Earlier, 77 people were tested positive in IIT Madras. 66 of them were students. The University was opened for final year students post which number of cases in the campus started increasing. Keeping the situation in mind, all departments have been shutdown and faculty as well as other staff are requested to stay at home. The number of cases reported in IIT Madras spans from just 15 days- from December 1 to December 15.
