Alumni of all IITs can become a member of the Central Library. They can utilize all the services including accessing e-resources in Central Library under Internet environment.

IIT Madras Alumni and their spouse and children (below 18 years) are eligible to use various Gymkhana facilities by becoming members of the respective clubs. The subscription rates for the various clubs are as follows:

The Film Club screens weekly Saturday night movies at the Open Air Theater (OAT). The charges for alumni are as follows:

The Music Club organizes classical music concerts in CLT for campus residents. Alumni are welcome to become members. The subscription rate per annum per person is Rs. 1500.

The Institute also has various ‘Sabhas’ and ‘Mandals’ which are informal gatherings of people having a similar linguistic background.
