I had an opportunity to tour the ChE dept, meet the young faculty and preview the research programs. I was compelled to go back to my employer, Chevron, and secure a small grant to supplement young faculty research in the energy field. This program will keep Chevron connected to the institute, and open pathways for future cooperation including recruitment on campus.
