Career Experience
- Joined Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd as a Management Trainee in Jan.1969. Served in the Design Bureau in the field of Avionics, Instruments and Electrical systems. Resigned in 1979 to start his own enterprise, Radel Systems
- Invented electronic musical instruments ( electronic tambura, electronic sruthibox. electronic taala aid, electronic tabla, electronic veena, Digital veena etc) for exclusive use by Indian classical musicians . Manufacturing these since 1979; These have been acclaimed and used by prominent musicians apart from Institutions such as radio stations all over India, schools, Music Colleges, Universities, etc.
- Established a Pvt. Ltd. Co. ‘Radel Electronics Pvt Ltd’ and set up a new manufacturing facility in the Electronics City, Bangalore in 1995
- Established a sister organization ‘Radel Advanced Technology Pvt. Ltd.’ in 2005 for providing design and manufacturing services in the field of aerospace and defense
Music
- Belongs to a family of musicians and plays the flute. Won First prize of the Akashvani music competition (Instrumental category) in 1968; Secured first rank in the Vidwat (proficiency) examination of Karnataka in 1981; Has been performing over various stations of Akashvani and Doordarshan including the prestigious Radio Sangeet Sammelan concert of Akashvani as an ‘A’ graded artiste; Performed concerts in various cities of India as well as abroad
Awards
- Awarded the IMM ‘Young Electronics Engineer – 1987’ Silver trophy in the Entertainment category by the Institute of Marketing & Management, New Delhi
- National Award of Special Recognition for R&D, by the Min. for MSME, GoI, 2010
- Conferred ‘Sur Mani’ title from the Sur Singar Samsad , Bombay in 1987
- Honoured with Karnataka Rajyotsava award in recognition of distinguished achievements by the Government of Karnataka for 1996
- ‘Ananya Puraskara’ as the best senior musician of the annual music conference of Karnataka Ganakala Parishat in 1997
- Karnataka Kala Shree award in recognition of distinguished service in the field of music and dance by the Karnataka State Sangeetha Nritya Academy in 2002
- ‘Hamsadhwani Puraskara’ in 2006 for his musical achievements and service to music through the inventions of electronic musical instruments

- First patent in the country for an Indian electronic musical instrument for the Digital veena, 2002
