Cybersecurity is among the most in-demand tech fields in 2020. IIT Madras has acknowledged this need and started an online course for graduates and diploma holders on cybersecurity.

The certification course called ‘Certified Cyber Warriors’ is offered through the Digital Skills Academy of IIT Madras. The course will help participants in getting introduced to tips and tricks on how to prevent attacks. The program will teach you actionable techniques for industry and academia experts.

The online course will be delivered by Prof V Kamakoti of IIT Madras and other guests faculties from IIIT Delhi, Madras and IIIT Bangalore. The course will take 14 weeks of time to complete.

The curriculum includes the following topics:
Introduction and overview of cybersecurity
Digital forensics
IT and cyber law
Cryptography
Physical security and importance
Governance and compliance
Cyber risk and cyber insurance best practices
Network security: the corporate culture
Offensive Security: hackers mind
Mobile security: common man vulnerability
Cloud security: the global problem
Dark web and Deep web: Does it really exist
Risk Management: It is very important?
Security operation centre: Need of the hour
Application Security: Every organisation’s real problem
Cybersecurity design and maintaining resilience and best practices
Malware analysis: An overview
Critical security components: Discussion
Incident management: An overview

The students interested in the program need to invest total 56 hours over the 14 weeks period. Those interested in taking the course need to register themselves on the official website and pay Rs 1,41,600 as exam fees. The successful finishers will be awarded the certificate of completion by IIT Madras.
