Jayant Haritsa is a Professor of database systems in the Supercomputer Education & Research Centre and the Department of Computer Science & Automation at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He received a B.Tech. in Electronics from IIT Madras in 1985, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) in 1991. He is a Fellow of IEEE and a Distinguished Alumnus of IIT Madras.
